The Mayflower Compact
Celebrating 400 years in the 2020 Rose Parade with their float
"The Voyage of Hope 1620
General Society of Mayflower Descendants
The General Society of Mayflower Descendants, GSMD, is committed to research on the lineal descent of the Mayflower Pilgrims and education about the Pilgrims who traveled aboard the Mayflower in 1620. The Society provides education and understanding of why the Mayflower Pilgrims were important, how they shaped western civilization, and what their 1620 voyage and its impact on the world means today

Here today on the 1st of January 2020 from all across the country traveling on this voyage who are committed to furthering our mission and who have signed this compact

The original compact signed 11 November 1620 by the men of the Mayflower talked about the Glory of God and the advancements of the Christian faith, establishing laws, ordinances and constitutions for the general good of the Colony. It was the precursor to the Constitution which governs us yet today. The Compact we sign today, signed by the men and the women who rode the Mayflower float, Voyage of Hope -1620, in the Rose Parade signifies the dedication we as GSMD members solemnly take to each other, to our 1620 ancestors, and to God and Country, for this voyage would have not been possible without them
